Well done to Deveron Swimmers Jessica and Ryan who were competing at Loch Earn

The day started off calm and quite warm but half way into the swim it got quite choppy but they both kept going and remained strong throughout. Jessica got Bronze and finished in 1hour 48 and Ryan silver in 1hour 33 and both finished with no ill effects. Thanks to Janet and Jessica for being chauffeur and great laughs throughout the day.

Today we’d like to say ‘Bon Voyage’ and ‘Good luck’ to several of our pupils who are away overseas (and over the Forth!).  We wish everyone all the best and have a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Finley Duncan, 4 Crovie – who is heading off to Canada to compete in Scotdance Canada week in Vancouver.  Finley is competing against some of the best highland dancers in the world.

Leoni Page – who is performing at Edinburgh Festival in August at two concerts:  the big Kaddish concert and Land of Counterpane.

Matthew James McKay – , who is going off to Ben Speer Stamp-Baxter School of Music, in Nashville for a two week intensive vocal and musical training course.  We are looking forward to reaping the benefits of this at our next School Show!

Stefan Watt and Ricky Taylor  - they are both going to Ryla Camp on Saturday 12 July for a week.

WW1 Battlefields Trip – a group of pupils leave to go on this school excursion organised by Mrs Paterson of our History Department.  This promises to be an thoroughly memorable trip away.

Apologies if we’ve missed anyone but these are the activities we know about (so far).

Please feel free to get in touch if you know of any other activities.  Private Mail us through Facebook during the Holidays if you’ve any news to share (I’m not always in school to collect mail from there!).

Miss Shearer, Mrs Hazlehurst and Mr Milne with some BxA pupils there to cheer Miss Shearer on as she goes through Huntly as part of the Queens Baton Relay today.
